How crawls work.
Everything behind the plans: what a crawl is, what a scan captures, how cadence spends your allowance, and what happens when you go over. If you only want to pick a plan, the pricing page is enough.
What a crawl is
One crawl is one scan.
A full capture of the rendered result page for one keyword in one market. Your allowance is a count of those captures — read it as it is written.
What a scan captures
One kind of scan,
every time.
Every scan is a full capture of the live result page, the way a searcher in that market sees it. There is no lighter version to choose between, so every number in Marley comes from the same kind of look.
| What it records | How |
|---|---|
| Screenshot | Kept as evidence you can show someone |
| Ads | Top and bottom of the page |
| Organic results | The first page |
| AI Overview | Whether one appeared, and which sources it cited |
| Shopping | The product listings, for share of shelf |
| Share of Screen | Measured to the fold, from the rendered page |
AI Mode and an advertiser's verified identity are captured on demand, not on every scan
What each plan includes
Crawls are
the only limit.
We never cap how many keywords you track. The allowance is the one number that differs between plans, and it converts directly into keywords checked daily.
| Per month | Explorer | Marketer | Team | Agency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crawls | 125 | 1,250 | 3,750 | Committed |
| Projects | 1 | 5 | 15 | Unlimited |
| Markets | 1 | All | All | All |
| Seats | 1 | 20 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Keywords checked daily | ≈ 4 | ≈ 41 | ≈ 125 | Custom |
The rules
Five rules.
No small print.
- Cadence is set per keyword — daily by default, faster on the terms that move.
- We never cap how many keywords you track. Crawls are the only limit.
- Go past your crawls and nothing stops. The extra is charged in proportion.
- We email you to upgrade only when the next plan is genuinely cheaper.
- The free plan is the one hard stop, because there is no card to charge.
How cadence spends it
Cadence is
the dial.
Every check is one crawl. Devices do not add to the count: a keyword checked daily on desktop and mobile is still one crawl a day, alternating. Markets do: the same keyword in two countries is crawled in each.
| Cadence | Crawls a day | Crawls a month |
|---|---|---|
| Daily (default) | 1 | 30 |
| Every 12 hours | 2 | 60 |
| Every 6 hours | 4 | 120 |
| Hourly | 24 | 720 |
hourly is 24 crawls a day — about 720 a month for one keyword, more than half of Marketer's allowance
When upgrading actually pays
Overage stays
the rational choice.
Most pricing pages hide this. Overage is priced so that going a long way over your plan stays rational — you can run to well over twice your included crawls before the next plan is cheaper. We email you at that point, and not before; paid plans are never stopped mid-month, and an agent working over MCP is never cut off mid-task.
| Crawls used | On Marketer | On Team | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,250 · your allowance | $149 | $349 | Stay |
| 1,750 | $209 | $349 | Stay |
| 2,250 | $269 | $349 | Stay |
| 2,917 | $349 | $349 | Level — we email you |
| 3,750 | $449 | $349 | Upgrade |
the crossover comes at 2,917 — before Team's 3,750, so at the moment upgrading pays, it also buys headroom
The words
- Project
- One scope of watching — its own keywords, competitors and alerts. Usually one brand. Agencies run one per client.
- Market
- A country or locale. Counted separately, and one project can span several.
- Seat
- A person who can open the workspace.
